Senior .NET Test Harness Developer

OUR DIRECT CLIENT IN MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OH IS IN NEED OF A SENIOR C#.NET DEVELOPER WITH EXPERIENCE DEVELOPING TEST HARNESSES TO DRIVE APPLICATION BUSINESS LOGIC, FOR USE BY QA TEAMS. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH AUTOMATED TESTING ENVIRONMENTS, INCLUDING TOOLS SUCH AS QTP AND FIT. EXPOSURE TO C++, WEB SERVICE ARCHITECTURES AND MOBILE APPS IS A PLUS. TEAM DESCRIPTION: THIS ROLE IS NEEDED WITHIN THE APPLICATIONS PRODUCT PLATFORM UNDER THE PRODUCT SERVICE MANAGEMENT/QUALITY DELIVERY SERVICES TEAM. THIS TEAM SUPPORTS THE DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF TESTING TOOLS AND HARNESSES WRITTEN FOR VARIOUS PRODUCT PLATFORM APPLICATIONS.

Role Description:
This role will work within a 10-person team supporting the Product Platform application development and testing teams. This requires working with a variety of resources within the Product platform including quality assurance analysts (QAA) and application developers. This role will create test harness fixtures that will allow QAAs to access and test applications business logic.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, coding and supporting testing tools and test harnesses. This requires working knowledge of test automation using functional tools such as FIT and QTP (ie experience with .NET, C#, and VBscripting). Candidates should have working knowledge of the overall system testing process including unit, functional, and non-functional testing. Candidates must have the proven ability to trouble shoot issues independently through analysis and follow-up.

- 6+ years of C# programming experience
- 6+ years of automated test experience in a structured test environment
- 4+ years of Object Oriented Analysis and design
- 1+ years of test cases
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analysis and design skills
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology discipline, or related experience in lieu of a degree.
