Senior .NET Engineer

Yoh has a contract to hire opportunity for a SENIOR .NET ENGINEER to join our client in New Orleans, LA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Senior Software Engineer's role is to define, design, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new and current software applications in support of business requirements for .NET platforms. This role is also responsible for participating in requirements gathering meetings with business and technical teams and producing technical and business documentation in support of software solutions developed. This role will also be responsible for mentoring and performing code reviews of junior programmers on the team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in the analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of information technology solutions for business processes.
- Develop and debug complex code, conduct code reviews, and mentor other developers on coding in alignment with industry best practices
- Collaborates with US, near-shore, and off-shore based team members to deliver software solutions.
- Define detailed functional and technical specifications required to satisfy business requirements.
- Maintain team's alignment with software development best practices and ensure quality standards are met or exceeded
- Provide functional and technical documentation
- Additional duties as assigned by management

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Financial services software development experience
- Worked in an Agile software development environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with ASP.NET, C# or VB.NET (C# preferred, both a plus), .net framework 2.0 to 4.0
- Experience with automated test tools (MSTest, NUnit, SpecFlow) a plus
- Experience with IIS 6 & 7 configuration settings.
