Description: Senior/Lead Software Developer job based near Milton Keynes. An expanding division of an international business requires a technical team lead with strong web based skills to join their development team. You will work on various software applications, written on .Net platform using C#, MVC with small aspects of VB6 (Visual Basic 6). Duties;

You will need a strong web application development background using C# on the .Net platform with experience leading the technical direction of solutions development at both team and strategic levels. This is a great within an innovative business at a time where they are re-architecting the solutions base.
Key Result Areas:
• Produce estimates for development tasks, based on information provided by Business Analysts, Colleagues and the business
• Create and document technical designs to fulfil Use Cases produced by Business Analysts
• Write Unit Test Plans to ensure that developed code is thoroughly tested prior to reaching Systems Test
• Create scripts to modify the product database to achieve the design requirements
• Write code to achieve the required design, with due regard to coding standards
• Write stored procedures and packages
• Unit-test the code, using the unit test plan and code-based testing techniques

Key Skills:
• Proven ability to develop complex web applications in Microsoft C# on the .net platform
• Experienced delivering internal and external web applications using MVC, Entity Framework, Nhibernate
• Appreciation for performance and security principles associated with web development activities
• Ability to write SQL queries and Data Definition Language (DDL) on an industry standard relational database (preferably SQL Server)
• Ability to write server-side code (stored procedures), preferably in T-SQL
• Experience of code-based testing techniques, such as nUnit testing
• Ability to work with XML
• Ability to create and maintain Web Services
• Working knowledge of Crystal Reports
• Ability to work with SQL Server Reporting Services
• Knowledge of WWF, WFP and WCF
• Experience with Visual Basic 6
• Good oral and written communication.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
