SENIOR .NET/C# FRONT END DEVELOPER

We are looking to find a responsible and open minded candidate who adds value to our client's IT team. Our client is an international Swiss Bank.

OVERVIEW OF BUSINESS AREA/PROJECT:

An alternative investments fund manager located in Zurich is further building out the functionalities of its trading and analytics IT platform. To support the development team, the fund manager is looking for a motivated senior .NET/C# Front End developer with extensive in-house development experience of trading applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Working independently and as part of a small team in an agile environment, under the guidance of the tech lead
- Developing components on a 3-tier architecture system, with focus on the UI - Front End
- Enhancing existing functionalities and designing/implementing new features following coding best practices
- Taking part in extending the testing framework and maintaining/improving unit tests
- Understanding the business specifications, converting requirements into technical solutions
- Supporting the Production Environment and the end-users

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

- Superb track record in objected oriented programming, ideally with .NET/C#
- Strong knowledge in core C# 4.0 or above, LINQ, design patterns, multi-threading
- Experience with WPF with MVVM pattern (candidates with extensive Silverlight would also be considered)
- Experience with WCF, messaging/queue technologies
- Extensive experience with unit testing (eg NUnit) and mocking frameworks
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills, flexible on moving targets
- Good oral/written communication, positive and proactive team attitude
- Good spoken and written English

Desired:

- Higher Education, such as Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
- Previous experience in the Finance/Insurance industries (ideally within Trading/Portfolio Management)
- DB design, SQL, including SQL Server 2008 or above
- Persistence Layer (preferably Entity Framework)
- Inversion of Control frameworks (eg Castle, Spring, )
- Prism and UI third party controls (preferably Infragistics)
- Interactive data visualization products focused on Business Intelligence such as Tableau
- Performance Optimization/Troubleshooting
- Experience with VBA Script
- Good spoken and written German
