Senior .NET Applications Analyst Job

SENIOR .NET APPLICATIONS ANALYST NEEDED FOR A LONG-TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY WITH YOH'S CLIENT LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC.

Please note that this position does not allow for working remotely, as such the incumbent must be able to work onsite in client's Charlotte, NC location.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- C#, ASP.NET, Oracle Database programming experience
- MOSS 2007/2010 Development experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Senior IT Application Analyst on the Energy Supply Fossil Hydro Support Services team. The team provides application solution services through application selection, application development and application production support services for greater than 100 applications used within Energy Supply business areas.
- 50% support, 50% development
- This role delivers application development and support services for IT/business merger projects, business initiatives, IT Corporate initiatives, and IT solution alternatives.
- This role provides end user support regarding application broke fix issue resolution, application maintenance, and small enhancement solutions.
- The role can be requested to perform application development for IT projects
- Other role responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting and maintaining existing software (purchased or built) in a production environment
- Researching and providing IT solutions and estimates
- Convert business requirements into technical specifications to estimate solution delivery cost and timeline
- Code reviews
- Vendor software implementation and support
- Migration management for test and production environments
- Develop and maintain effective application technical support documentation
- Participates in 24X7 IT support model

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent years of work experience and training
- Five (5+) years of experience in application development and application support
- Experience with C#, AJAX, ASP.NET, VB, ODP.NET and Oracle Database programming, Visual Studio.NET, HTML, and XML
- Experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007/2010 development
- Ability to multi task effectively
- Self-starter and capable of working with minimum oversight

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- IT experience with supporting power generation business
- Working knowledge of software solution delivery life cycle process
