Senior .NET Application Architect

Resource 1 is in need of a Sr. .NET Application Architect for a 2-3 month contract in Simi Valley, CA. Individual should have at least 10 years of object-oriented application design and development experience in .Net/desktop applications. Should have extensive experience with the .NET Framework, including VB.NET, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, etc. The initial project will involve a complete technical analysis of a Client Server desktop application codebase of about 80000+ lines of code. Selected candidate will be asked for a technical recommendation for application re-architecture and/or code re-factoring. End deliverable must include a detailed technical write-up of recommendations.Individual should have advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented (OO) Design/Architecture (classes, components, objects, interfaces, etc.). Should also have experience in threading and asynchronous programming. Individual should have knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles (ie, Agile, waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development). The project will involve the analysis of the current VB.NET (security/audit) application, in order to identify issues with the current design and make recommendations on re-designing the system for better performance. This will involve in depth analysis of the current system and thorough documentation. Individual must have strong verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (eg, executive, management, individual contributors).
