Semiconductor Application Engineer

Our leading international Semiconductor partner is looking for Application Engineer. As an Application Engineer you will take the responsibility for the application tasks within the IC development team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
You have a good understanding of the IC functions and features that are important to our customer. Validation at the bench is a key task to check if the IC meets the system requirements to finally secure a smooth design-in at our customers. In the preparation phase towards the validation you will define validation strategy and create a test items list to cover the IC and system level requirements. Development of automated bench testing (in Labview) is a key task to meet time to market and improve reproducibility of test results.
Your job also includes development of application hardware for IC validation and reference designs for customers. Defining the application hardware requirements is part of the responsibility. Hardware development includes circuit design, component selection and guiding the PCB layout.
As a Senior Application Engineer you will assist customer support team in realising the first design-in at our customers.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Excellent skills in bench validation, good knowledge about audio circuits and audio processing, pragmatic problem solving and good team player is key in this position.
B.Sc. or Master degree in Electrical Engineering,
Several years of application experience in preferable audio solutions.
Experience with audio (or acoustic) measurements and analysing techniques.
Experience with Labview for bench test automation
Experience with digital (and analog) audio signal processing (eg DSP, ADC, DAC).
Experience with hardware development and knowledge of Audio amplifiers and power conversion (eg class-D/DC-DC conversion).
Able to take ownership of the activities and execute independently.
Good communication skills, team player, fluent in English.
