For a long-term project at our client's site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced SECURITY SYSTEM ENGINEER - SPLUNK/LINUX (5387).
The ideal candidate will reactively handling break/fix issues with the infrastructure of security products and is in charge of the implementation of improvements.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- EXTENSIVE SPLUNK EXPERIENCE (WRITING EFFICIENT QUERIES, BUILDING DASHBOARDS, TROUBLESHOOTING ISSUES)
- ADVANCED LINUX EXPERIENCE AND STRONG DEBUGGING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS
- EXPERIENCE IN NICHE SECURITY PRODUCTS, SUCH AS ANOMALI, RESILIENT, ENCASE, PHISHME, PROOF POINT
- Good understanding of opportunities that come with of emerging BIG DATA CAPABILITIES while understanding its limits and challenges
- Training or Certification on Agile principles and approach, ITIL V3, DevOps experience is a plus
- Working effectively with JIRA to support virtual team collaboration
- EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN ENGLISH, GERMAN WOULD BE A STRONG BENEFIT
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively monitoring various infrastructure systems using different tools, and taking appropriate action to avoid failure of services
- Proactively identify ways to improve monitoring, processes, or services (including ways that can be done with existing configurations, or ways that may require capital investments)
- Implementation of improvements
- Reactively handling break/fix issues with the infrastructure of security products
- Deployment of upgrades, new products, new tools
- Assisting in the review of new products, applying critical thinking to make sure it is the best fit for the use cases, and challenging the scope and requirements appropriately
- Participation in cross-team training
