Security Specialist

Contract until end June 2014 plus 2 years of extensions.

DUTIES:

- Contribute to risk assessment and mitigation strategies for current and forward ICT work plans and/or programmes/projects
- Contribute to the development and validation and the measurement of security controls for ICT projects
- Contribute to the development of the ICT enterprise architecture and related ICT capability systems
- Take responsibility for (or support) the development of technical products required for RFT/RFI/EOI activities
- Produce (or contribute to) roadmaps and recommendations related to ICT investments and system development life cycles

SKILLS:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in ICT Security, ICT Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in ICT Security or related discipline
- Preferred ICT Security certification or demonstrated experience
- Preferred SABSA certification or demonstrated experience

EXPERIENCE IN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING IS RECOMMENDED:

- Security architecture
- Information Technology Security Advisor
- ICT Security Incident Management
- Information Technology Security Management
- Systems Certification
- Network architecture (WAN/MAN/LAN)
- Gateway system architecture
- Mobile system architecture
