We are currently looking for:
SECURITY SPECIALISTS
- ONE FULL TIME TEMPORARY POSITION (UP TO 2 YEARS) IN TORONTO, ONTARIO AND TWO OTHER LOCATIONS (REFERENCE #MGT-2013-0051-E)
A natural communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, you will provide managers and staff with advice, counsel, and representation on all aspects of corporate security and asset protection. You will develop innovative implementation processes, standards, methodologies, and guidelines to ensure that security requirements are met and program risks are mitigated.
Collaborating with internal and external partners, you will design various asset protection strategies, policies, cost efficiency standards, and effective employee education programs that promote corporate -wide awareness. Applying your strong analytical skills and attention to detail, you will investigate instances of fraud, theft, and other security breaches and prepare risk assessment reports with conclusions and recommendations for improvement, monitoring, and management actions.
You have demonstrated experience in the development of business cases, briefing notes, and investigation reports as well as an ability to plan, organize, and direct the testing of asset protection plans and recovery support. With a willingness to pursue continuous learning, you have the ability to develop a clear understanding of Hydro One's key functional processes and resources and foster strong inter-agency working relationships. Your diploma in law and security, justice studies, policing, military police or the equivalent corporate security education and experience is complemented by six years of current experience in policing or private security management, preferably within the energy sector. Extensive travel throughout Ontario is required.
