Security Software Dev Engineer

The Security team is looking for a passionate Software Development Engineer with experience developing Internet-based services on a massive scale.

The tremendous growth of these cloud services over the last few years has created huge challenges as well as opportunities in the cloud security space. The team is tasked to develop the software to protect the system and customers from any and all threats.

The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced Software Engineer with a passion for cloud security and a proven track record of architecting and building high quality scalable applications and solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop security software and solutions to protect the network and infrastructure, including auto detecting potential intrusions, enforcing security policies/compliance, creating shared security components across the massive and distributed network
- Create the processing tools and auto detection technologies to mitigate abuse activities such as botnets, DDoS, and spam
- Improve security service offerings to help customers to protect their applications against attacks from the cloud

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with a minimum of six years software development experience
- Proficiency developing applications in Java
- Ruby and Perl a plus
- Proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms and data structures
- Proficiency in object-oriented design
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

This is a short term contract opportunity.
