ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Auriga is an expert consultancy specialising in Data Analytics, ICT and Security who have worked on some of the most demanding projects in the UK, delivering measurable return on investment from business issues.

We are currently seeking to take on board a technical Transition and Transformation Project Manager with cloud or hosting knowledge to join our team in the Newcastle area. The role requires the candidate to take ownership and responsibility for the information security transformation project outcome and fulfil project goals and customer requirements.

This position will be for an initial 3 month contract.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure that the project is assigned with sufficient amount of resources with required competence, and that all other preconditions for a successful project execution is in place

All Customer interfaces related to project execution and development of good relations on all organizational levels
-

Development and deployment of project strategies and project plans
-

Continuous assessment of risks initiation of actions to reduce risks
-

Managing changes in the project
-

Project communication and information
-

Manage sub-project transition activities in close interactions with defined counterpart in Customer organization
-

Prepare transition budget for the project and report monthly on cost follow-up
-

Manage required input from other subprojects and from Customer
-

Verify that Customer is fulfilling their obligations
-

Continuously assess risks and take actions to reduce risks
-

Report progress and risks to the Operational Lead

Support the implementation of processes/methods/tools to achieve gains of efficiency

Report weekly on progress/risks/delays according to Weekly Report template

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION:

-

Excellent communication skills
-

Proven experience in delivering IT projects (IT literate)
-

Understanding of Cloud and Hosted environments
-

Understanding in transformation and change management programmes
-

Experience in developing and delivering communication strategies with corresponding implementation plans
-

Knowledge in leading stakeholder management and communication projects
-

Familiar working within complex public sector ICT project environments
-

Degree educated or equivalent experience
-

Prince 2 qualified
-

Experience or qualifications in ITIL or equivalent/similar will be desirable

This role will involve travelling to the client sites and occasionally to our offices in London.
