This Security Ops Specialist will be focused on Unified Communications (voice). The candidate will act as a hands-on Technician in Information Security executing several tasks in relation to the required services within the production environment. The Security Operations Specialist role supports the respective functional teams or leads the teams and provides expertise and assistance to ensure effective services are provided by Security Operations.

The main tasks of the Security Operations Specialist are: monitoring and tracking activities, analysing issues, supporting the resolution of issues and conflicts, and preparing reports and conduct meetings. The Security Operations Specialist has knowledge of and experience in all relevant tools and processes used in the Security Operations environment.

Furthermore the Security Operations Specialist is the link to business and control functions within the Security Operations Division.

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

- Develop a good understanding of the activities required to execute production management functions.
- Define and maintain of the Security Operations processes, including coordination of the process interfaces with the customer.
- Follow all guidelines and controls for the relevant processes to ensure compliance and quality.
- Undertake specific functions within the relevant Security Operations process as identified for the specific production management area.
- Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders, prepare and document meetings, track progress.
- Collect, interpret and respond to changes in production data, as appropriate.
- Track the implementation of resolution tasks.
- Provide regular and reliable reporting of relevant data to meet management requirements.
- Understand thoroughly the end-to-end application support process and escalation procedures, become fully conversant with all support tools that will be used to provide effective support in the relevant area (ie Security Operations).
- Maintain an end-to-end view of the application and infrastructure landscape.
- Provide feedback and communicates results to stakeholders. Implementation of voice-of-the-customer exercises
- Provide input and contribute in Security Operations related audits.
- Engage with other service management groups to understand business requirements.
- Perform review of specifications.
- Define, collect, analyze and produce metrics on process data for KPIs to find out improvements.
- Identify risks and issues related to the area.
- Coordinate the measures to eliminate the identified risks
- Provide governance to ensure appropriate planning and reporting.

EXPERIENCE/EXPOSURE:

- 5+ years experience in IT in large corporate environments, specifically in the area of controlled production environments or in Financial Services Technology in a client-facing function
- At least 5 years extensive experience in a leadership/manager position
- 1+ year(s) practical experience of end to end configuration management
- Experience of run-book execution
- Experience of supporting complex application and infrastructure domains
- ITIL/best practice service context
- Profound analytical skills
- Ability to work in virtual teams and in Matrix structures
- Working knowledge of incident tracking tools (ie Remedy, Heat etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and team compatibility

CERTIFICATION/EDUCATION:

- Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in IT or Computer Science related discipline (equivalent diploma or technical faculty)
- ITIL V3 foundation certification (preferred)
