Bluefish Communications, a Telecoms Consultancy and Professional Services company, part of Vodafone Global Enterprise, is currently looking for a contract Security & LAN Engineer for a Global manufacturing company in the Netherlands.

This is a full time role (on call one week in three), working with an established Vodafone/Bluefish client initially for 6 months, with possible extension to a 12 month contract.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Predominately support system maintenance, spending 1 day per week passing knowledge and documentation to outsource team

Responsible for system maintenance, creating system solutions against client system requirements
-

Conduct moves and changes on system platforms and Firewalls
-

Conduct system troubleshooting, whilst escalating issues, problems, risks, and constraints to the wider support team for clarification and resolution
-

Update and refresh technology within agreed time frames.
-

Produce documentation and lead knowledge transfer between teams.

Responsible for the engineering of end to end solutions as required
-

Undertake company specific security training to upskill on client systems

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

-

Previous experience within large scale manufacturing or utilities organisations
-

Proven experience as a Security/Firewall Engineer, known as a subject matter expert
-

Ability to understand technical requirements and convert these into system security solutions
-

In-depth knowledge of Checkpoint Enterprise, Palo Alto and Cisco Firewall platforms
-

Solid IP Networking experience
-

Alcatel 62xx, 64xx & 68xx LAN Switches experience
-

Certification - Alcatel cert NP's/Fe's level/Cert Palo Alto/Citrix NetScaler
-

Excellent communication skills within written and spoken English

Ability to manage own workload and work under strict deadlines

Ability to communicate results across multi-discipline teams
