Security Guard

Colchester United Football Club are looking to recruit a Part Time Security Guard.

He or she will be responsible for the safety and security of the Weston Homes Community Stadium, including its visitors and staff using function rooms outside normal working hours. There will be other operational duties and checks that he or she will be required to complete. Customer care and good communication skills are essential. There will also be a need to go on an emergency call out list for alarm activations and be willing if required, to work at other sites managed by CUFC.

Reporting to the Stadium Operations Manager, the successful candidate will work flexible shift patterns, which will involve working out of office hours. They will be of smart appearance and work as part of a team providing security and customer care at the stadium. Regular patrols will be required and the ability to deal with incidents which in some instances, may require the support of the emergency services .The ability to maintain relevant paperwork, be willing and pro-active in assisting staff to deal with anti-social behaviour and to hold a Doorman license issued by the Security Industry Authority are all essential.

The vacancy will be for 19 hours each week with a pay rate of £8.24 per hour, payable monthly.
