Security Guard

Security Guard/Security Officer required for a world leading defence firm based out of Aberporth for a 3 -6 month initial contract. Candidates would be required to help guard and maintain security on the company's site as well as liaise with local emergency service if required.

Roles and responsibilities

- Main gate duties - monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises (access control).
- Reception duties include issuing passes to visitors at the main entrance
- Conduct foot and fence Patrols around the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Answer and investigate Alarms and disturbances.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Log all reports, visitors, incidents etc into the database.

Experience and Knowledge required

- No previous experience required, However a good knowledge of all security aspects is required

Skills and competencies requires

- Candidates must have good IT skills
- Must be able to respond to any emergencies in a calm and collected manner.
- Candidates must be able to work on their own for extended periods of time.
- Candidates must have good customer service skills for greeting visitors and handling issue
