Security Event Analyst - SIEM Consultant - NATO Cleared - SHAPE.

Security Event Analyst (SIEM Consultant) is needed to work within the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE). Working on the front line of the cyber security team for this major defence consultancy you will be working directly for and alongside NATO systems consultants in helping manage and monitor potential cyber threats affecting the NATO network.

Responsible for analysing the network, application and system log events and incident investigation.

Once investigated, you will be directly responsible for the defining and reporting of any potential threats and be part of any leadership team in developing first phase response and planning.

This is a 24/7 - 365 events monitoring station and you will therefore be required to work within a shift rota.

You will be an expert in using and monitoring events from the Security Information Event Management (SIEM) system and all other associated sensors.

You will determine the nature of the security information during the events and then assess whether these events constitutes a cyber incident - eg actioning SIEM events from detection through to triage.

YOU WILL have a comprehensive understanding and application of cyber security, incident detection, network and systems security.

YOU WILL be currently working in network and systems security and cyber threat monitoring.

YOU WILL have NATO clearance.

YOU WILL have experience of the following tech or system methodologies - ArcSight, LogLogic, Q1 Labs, Symantec Endpoint, ITIL, Java, .NET, Linus, Unix.
