Security Engineer - TCP/IP Firewall Juniper Checkpoint 

This a fantastic contract opportunity to join a large Telecommunications company for a major project.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY;

- Install and upgrade of security devices
- Firewall, Proxy and IDS/IPS security policy implementation, configuration, audit and compliance
- Firewall, Proxy and IDS/IPS-related incident handling
- Disaster and Recovery of security devices
- Change, capacity, problem and life cycle managements

SKILLS REQUIRED;

- Excellent networking design principles and protocols (eg TCP/IP, IPv4 and preferably IPv6)
- Understanding of OSI Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4-7 networking concepts
- Firewall platforms know-how - (Check Point, Juniper, Sidewinder and Palo Alto)
- Security policy configuration and implementation and/or operation of security technologies such as Firewalls, Proxy, intrusion detection and prevention systems, anti-virus and content filtering, URL filtering, authentication solutions, VPN, RAS
- Shell Scripting know-how and experience on Linux is a significant plus
