SECURITY ENGINEER (DATA COLLECTION & MONITORING) REDMOND, WA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

Our Security Team manages the services of popular and world-class entertainment services. We are chartered with ensuring a strong security program by continually testing preventative, detective, investigative, and recovery programs and infrastructure.

As a Security Engineer, you will be a subject matter expert for the evaluation, design, testing and implementation of security tools and solutions to aid data collection and monitoring. In order to stay ahead of an ever-evolving threat landscape, you will evaluate, architect, deploy, and test solutions at a rapid pace.

To be successful, you must have a solid, working knowledge of Windows, networking and Scripting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Evaluate, Test, Deploy and Maintain Security Solutions Due to the myriad of ways that an attacker can compromise an environment, it is necessary to collect data and monitor the environment in creative ways, and using the best tools on the market. You will need to identify the strengths of some solutions to provide coverage where another solution may not be as suited.
- Tool & Automation In a large-scale, enterprise environment, it is necessary to use automation to make changes, perform administrative tasks and process data. In some cases, you may be able to modify an existing tool but you may also find a need to create a tool or script for a more specific task.
- Communication & Presentation As a part of the Security Team, it is necessary to be able to communicate with other security team members as well as service owners. It may also be necessary to write reports, operational guides and issue reports for resolution. Clarity and accuracy are key to rapid issue resolution and to ensure that the proper resources are allocated especially when dealing with outside vendors.

A strong candidate will have solid networking skills, Windows acumen, automation and Scripting languages. Skills in programming languages such as PowerShell, C# highly desired and will aid in your success.

YOU WILL NEED:

- Coding experience PowerShell, C#, or Python
- Experience or ability to quickly learn with Windows Event Collection (WEF)
- Security Tools such as ArcSight and Tripwire
- CISSP or equivalent certifications
- Experience in TCP/IP Networking, protocols, and in the use of network sniffing tools, such as WireShark
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
