Security Engineer

- 6 months + contract

Leading Asia Pacific Professional Services firm requires x 2 Security Networks Engineer for 6 months + contracts based in North West Sydney.

As a Security Network Engineer you will be involved in a Legacy project moving from multilayered environment into a singular environment (end of life technologies to new set up).

ON A DAILY BASIS YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR;

- Managing the day to day operations and ensure workload is covered;
- Ensuring all compliance activities are delegated and organised;
- High awareness of individual customer service levels when dealing with problems
- Assist in developing, communicating, and Maintaining compliance to project schedules and dependencies as they relate to IT deliverables
- Available to support applications after hours

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL;

- Good experience as a Security Engineer position at the enterprise level. 
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. 
- Security skills - Cisco ASA, PIX. Juniper (security and network). F5 LTM, GTM, APM etc. Checkpoint exposure
- Extensive experience and expertise within all areas of network security technologies, vendor products and security governance 
- Industry/Vendor certifications such as: CCNA, CCNP, CCSA or CCSE 
- Have working knowledge of Troubleshooting, Rule changes, Command lines, Migrations and Upgrades

An excellent daily rate is on offer for the successful candidate along with the option of contract extension.
