Security Consultant

On behalf of our prestigious client, we are searching for a knowledgeable security consultant.

We are looking for someone who can work autonomously to add-value to the client, and someone that takes ownership of defining the risk appetite, whilst also having a strong understanding of modern cutting-edge technologies and the associated risks.

You would be responsible for defining risks, and working alongside the technical teams to implement solutions.

Therefore, you are required to demonstrate the following:

- Familiar with large and complex IT environments and data communications networks
- Good understanding of various security domains such as: IP network protocols and services, user authentication methods, encryption, voice technologies, wireless technologies, web applications.
- Very good knowledge of the security features offered, and the security risks encountered in complex ICT environments
- Experience with security risk assessment methodologies is much appreciated
- Ability to understand business products and processes in order to perform the related security risk assessment.
- Familiar with relational databases concepts and usage.
- Good understanding of the main security products and tools such as: Firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention, log file aggregators/analyzers, vulnerability assessment.

You should be someone that takes responsibility to deliver results, and continuously look towards improving your knowledge in this area. The perfect candidate will have a strong interest in modern technologies and a good understanding of how they work. You will also be security-minded, with good communication and able to work along side technical consultants.

This is an English speaking project, and the clients location is Brussels, Belgium.

We are looking for someone to start immediately, but the client can wait until January 2019 for the right skills.

Initially, the client will offer a 6-Month contract with definite extensions, and some remote work is also a possibility.
