Security Assurance Manager

My client a leading energy provider is looking to recruit a Security Assurance Manager on an initial 6 month contract.

BACKGROUND TO ENGAGEMENT
JOB PURPOSE
. To ensure delivery of security services from external providers, in accordance with contract deliverables.
. To provide business as usual security support activities through expert advice.
. To be the first point of contact for Facilities Managers.
. Provide local support for management and reporting of criminal and protest incidents and issues.
. Carry out physical site security assessments, attend meetings and be the primary liaison point for external security partners.

SCOPE OF WORK
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
. To effectively undertake a fully comprehensive security support role.
. Local police liaison.
. Act as first point of contact with Facilities Managers and Landlords.
. Provide local support for management and reporting of criminal and protest incidents and issues.
. Carry out physical site security assessments.
. Provide liaison with security contract partners.
. Manage the Company Security Function in the absence of the Security Manager.
. Keep abreast of and ensure that service provider(s) are aware and operate to current policies, procedures and guidelines at all designated locations.
. set up a regime of audit and assurance to validate the services delivered by service providers, through formal audits or through ad hoc inspections and reviews of work.
. Ensure audit findings are logged and closed in a timely manner and that any learning's are cascade.
. Keep up to date and maintain in-depth knowledge of content of all applicable contracts to ensure that the scope of services contracted for is delivered and is in line with the contract terms & conditions and agreed KPI's.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE EXPECTED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
. Managerial experience
. Experience of dealing with criminal or protest activity.
. Contacts within the Police and Security Services would be advantageous.
. Familiarity with national security standards, energy industry regulation and data legislation would be preferable.
. Excellent knowledge of MS Office systems is required.
. The capability to accept the requirement for travel and the necessity of flexible working hours to meet work demands as a key requirement of the role.
. SC Cleared, although recently expired clearance would be considered.

Please note that this role requires extensive travel across the UK, so a valid driving license is required. Any offer of employment will be subject to negative drugs and alcohol testing and full SC Clearance.
