Security Architect (AWS)

My client is a global consulting firm partnering with customers undergoing large IT improvement programs.

A position exists for a Security Architect with strong skills in AWS.

The role will involve-

Identify relevant control-gaps
* Design controls to meet control objectives
* Ensure control-designs are implementable given technical landscape, resource limitations and project timelines
* Creatively design secondary controls if primary controls are infeasible
* Provide security best practice guidance to project teams
* Ensure appropriate prioritization of security within projects (with support from management)
* Provide weekly security status updates for projects

You must be able to demonstrate proven knowledge in AWS core services, including: Compute and Networking, Storage and CDN, Database, Application Services, Deployment and Management.

* Understanding of web-application high-level architecture (including Java web-applications)
* (High level) familiarity with REST-based web-Services architecture advantageous
* Holistic technical foundation (Linux/UNIX, Windows, DB, SQL, network security devices, Web, LDAP, basic Scripting and programming etc.)
o DOES NOT need to be expert in all topics, but must have sufficiently "rich" IT background with clear understanding of basics (TCP/IP etc..)
* Ability to drive and negotiate security results amid tight project timelines and competing project deliverables

This assignment will be part onsite and part remote.
