Security Analyst

SECURITY ANALYST - CRAWLEY - 6 MONTH CONTRACT £400 - £500 PER DAY

BACKGROUND TO ENGAGEMENT

A Security Analyst is required for a Smart Meter Programme, covering involvement on the DCC and KPP work streams. The successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership in all security aspects of the programme, to support IT SIs in their interpretation and implementation of security, to take specific responsibility for specialist security deliverables and to support generic business analysts in their development of a Smart Security Operating Model.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be expected to provide

SECURITY SPECIALIST EXPERTISE COVERING INTERPRETATION AND REFINEMENT OF SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

- Compliance with Smart Energy Code
- Public Key Infrastructure implementation
- Server, infrastructure and perimeter security
- Data protection
- Security operating models
- Any security compliance standards and governance procedures
- Embedding security in ITIL processes and E2E business processes

POLICY DEVELOPMENT

- Smart Key Management Policy
- Segregation of Duties for infrastructure and Security process operation
- Embedding of Smart Security compliance into the organisations ITIL processes

SECURITY OPERATING MODEL

- Security processes and procedures, new and updated
- Role and responsibility descriptions
- RACI Matrix

LIAISON WITH ALL SMART SECURITY STAKEHOLDERS

- Contact point for SMP Security Manager
- Contact point for Industry and Regulation security team
- Contact point for Project Solution and Security Architects and suppliers Gate assurance and preparation of briefings to senior stakeholders

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE EXPECTED

- Refine the security design work stream plan, deliverables and critical path
- Security policies including Key Management Policy
- Smart Security Operating Model
- Assessment of security architecture Compliance audit and assurance
