Security Analyst

My client is a leading telecommunications provider and is searching for a Security analyst with the following skills

• Ideally educated to degree level or holding a security based professional qualification (e.g. CISSP, CISM).

• Ability to work on your own, maintain schedules of work, planning and reporting without the need for micro management form senior members of the team.

• Experience of dealing with technology engineers and influencing designs.
• Knowledge of networking technology and a desire to experience cutting edge technology and innovation.
• Able to represent the Group Security function and Virgin Media with gravitas and professionalism, to both internal and external stakeholders (business heads, audit, regulators)
• Good legislative awareness - Data Protection Act 1998, Electronic Communications Act 2000, Sarbanes Oxley Act 2002
• Good standards and regulatory awareness - ISO27001/2, 20000, PCI:DSS
• Experience in implementing and operating effective Information Security
• Practical experience in operating an effective and compliant Information Security Management System (ISMS)
• Sound understanding of Risk Management methodology and process.
• Good appreciation of the Information Security "Threat landscape"
• Awareness of security technologies and solutions
• Applies a business focused / risk based approach to decision making.
