Projects Description

1) You will be associated to a project related to the roadmap of the securities (Target securities Platform). This project is mainly related to billing and taxes regarding the transactions in the securities world (Shares, Funds, Structured notes, Bonds, ). A prototype needs to be built in on the foundations.

2) Depending on some components delivery in the timeline of this project, you could be also assigned to some other smaller projects in the meantime.

Mission of the functional analyst

The functional analyst ensures that:

- Analysis of the requirements by collecting, analysing data as specified by the business, users. Those requirements are functional and non-functional requirements.
- Carried out activities under supervision of the project manager.
- Understand the customer billing & the taxes related to financial instruments (Buy and sell of financial instruments, Corporate actions, custody fees, ). Formulating a functional design of the solution that meets business, users, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Map the billing rules and taxes in a new rule engine.
- Regular meetings with staff from IT and the business (project manager, architects, developers, application leader, ) intended to exchange information, persuade and argue and explain the reasons behind the solutions.
- Perform impact analysis with the help of the application owners in order to determine the workload of the solution or to assess the solution.
- Support users during the roll-out phase of the project or release in the assimilation of the changes.
- Verifies the integration of the proposed solutions into the existing landscape.
- Conveys functional specifications to other IT professionals, enabling their translation into IT solutions.
- Develop and/or update documentation of the solutions, the implementation process, functional analyses and functional project choice.
- Make sure that new parallel projects can implement the solution within their framework.
- Participate together with the partners in the verification and validation of the solution via the testing. The tests cases definition will be also a help the analyst has to help.

- This project is second project of the securities target platform.

Profile

Motivated analyst with

- Knowledge of French or Dutch. Knowledge of English as all documentation should be written in that language.
- Strong knowledge of taxes and billing related to financial instruments.
- Experience in the securities world. Securities knowledge mandatory.
- Good analytical skills:
- Able to transform independently a functional design document into exhaustive list of test conditions and vice versa.
- Able to make first analysis of cause of a defect (in order to provide sufficient detail to developer and assign defect immediately to correct department/developer)
- Able to think out-of-the-box in case of end-to-end test that block half way, due to defects or issues with alignment of test data, by splitting up test case in multiple smaller test parts, that are validated separately.
- Following skills are a plus, but not a necessity:
- experience with Test tools: Quality Center, QuickTest Pro, JIRA
- Knowledge of Excel (working with Excel, creating formulas in Excel )
