Securities and Portfolio Management Feature Engineer

Proteus Europe is searching for a Securities and Portfolio Management Feature Engineer for a 3 Month+ contract role based in Brussels, Belgium.

Our Client:- Our client is, as the first universal direct bank, a strong player on the Belgian market. The bank provides its customers with a wide range of financial products and services via the distribution channel of their choice (click and face). Our clients customers are based in retail as well as private banking clients, as well as small, medium and large enterprises.

Your New role:-

- Key player in the cooperation between the IT and Business stakeholders
- Make complex changes happen within and across Tribes.
- Your holistic view as well as your knowledge of both Business and IT states are crucial in the translation of business epics into features, in a sequence that delivers customer value as early as possible (strong Minimum Viable Product mindset).
- You even support the breakdown of features into user stories to ensure that business epics are translated into working IT solutions.
- You define and align the roadmaps between squads - from same or different Tribes - and other parts of the organization and thoroughly manage dependencies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, your results delivered, your extensive knowledge of current and future state and your added value for ING and for the teams you work with.
- acquiring understanding of the various stakeholders and being a trusted advisor for managers when determining, laying the foundations and/or designing the solution or reference
- assessing the architectural integrity and the risks inherent to the solution in order to ensure that the recommendations are suitable and can be implemented
- recognising and anticipating problems
- formulating and managing solution and delivery risks and issues
- initialisation and coordination of structural improvements
- Shaping and driving the execution of future state architectures and roadmaps
- Coaching technical colleagues through your co-creation skills (workshops, guiding, constraining, selling, telling)
- Share expert knowledge of multiple (new) technologies, products, business processes and architectures by speaking on conferences and feeding learnings back in the organization.
- Ensure resilience of your solutions on the RUN activities.

Your Skills and experience:-

Essential Skills:- - at least 3 years of relevant working experience in a securities or portfolio management domain in a complex environment. The minimum knowledge of some securities and private banking functionality as position keeping, custody, brokerage, portfolio management, Triple A and wealth management are key.
- Speaking with technical IT people in order to ensure the solution as defined by our customers.
- an excellent written and spoken knowledge of English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an asset

Desirable Skills:- - Able to translate business requirements into features and stories by using IT and Business knowledge
- Ensuring features delivery (planning, coordination, dependencies management)
- Making things happen by a close collaboration with people
- Familiar with the securities and portfolio management functionality.
- Has an IT knowledge up to date with relevant trends.
- Able to evaluate your decisions and bring the solutions to the think forward strategy (agreed bank roadmap).
- Understand the impacts of dependencies with other domains and the goal to reach.
