SDET PROFESSIONAL - CONTRACT - ZURICH - LONG TERM
For a major client of ours in the financial services sector, Swisslinx is searching for a SDET professional for a long term contract position in Zurich.
The following represents the main activities and tasks carried out by the individual:
- Delivering high quality software solutions and quality assurance services to the IT's projects; you will perform software tests for internal clients together with our testing partners.
- Provide testing consultancy to development teams in regards of testing and software quality aspects
- To design, plan, execute and automate tests for software across a variety of n-tier architectures and cutting-edge technologies.
- To deploy Continuous Deliver/DevOps principles into the Infrastructure field
- To build up testing for the IaaS and PaaS cloud
- To build up an active testing community within the organisation
- To contribute to the future testing strategy for the client
- To enable Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery by using a holistic approach for requirement validations over the application life cycle for applications and infrastructure
To be considered for the position, you will need the following skills, experience and expertise:
- A Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
- One or more years of SDET experience
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills with great attention to detail, including the ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize the results
- Team oriented and able to self-organise
- Experiences in leading/contributing to a testing community
- Experiences in playing an educational/coaching role to other teams/colleagues
- Experiences in cloud environment
- Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
- Experience programming in Java and/or C++, C# and Scripting
- Hands on test automation frameworks such as Selenium or TOSCA
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and in particular with the product Jenkins
- Experience with test data management, data quality assessment and data reconciliation
- Excellent command of English
- Strong client service attitude & management skills
