We have an immediate opportunity for a Scrum of Scrums Master consultant for a large financial institution in Wilmington, DE. This is a long term contract opportunity.

DESCRIPTION

Experienced leader to collaborate and own the delivery of business driven requests for a specific technology platform. Focus on company-wide platform strategies, solutions, and new business functionality to enhance and promote the execution of delivery. A hands-on, self-starter with a combination of an understanding of technology and strong communication skills.

SCRUM OF SCRUM TEAM

- Coaching the team in self-organization and cross-functionality
- Removing impediments to the team's progress to its sprint commitments
- Collaborate and partner within and beyond one's team; builds productive relationships with others

Finding techniques for effective Product Backlog management - Creates forum for communicating vision, goals, and Product Backlog items to the team
- Teaching the team to create clear and concise Backlog items
- Understanding long-term product planning
- Communicate effectively across diverse audiences within and outside of the Sprint Team (Stakeholders, Executives). Motivate and model open communication to help surface issues for faster resolution
- Be able to remove obstacles for the team or to direct obstacles to appropriate owners for quick resolution
- Provide perspective to the team and keeps team focused on critical deliverables and tasks
- Possess the ability to work with and influence wide range of stakeholders across roles and levels (business, compliance, Legal, IT, etc.)

SCRUM COACH

- Enacting change & continuous improvement to increase the productivity of the team and quality of deliverables
- Coaching the team in organizational environments in whichscrumis not yet fully adopted and understood
- Leading and coaching the organization in itsscrumadoption
- Planningscrumimplementations within the organization
- Helping associates and stakeholders understand and enactscrumin their lines of business
- Identify, manage, help mitigate project issues and risks
- Working with otherScrumMasters via a Community of Practice to increase the effectiveness of the application ofscrumin the organization

CONTROL OBJECTIVE (5%)

Understand the appropriate Policies & Standards applicable to my role through reading the Code of Conduct and other training allocated to me. Where responsible for risks and controls ensure that these are appropriate and fit for purpose.

MEASURES:

- All mandatory training completed to deadline and understood within given timescales.
- Where applicable, all key risks identified, tracked, logged and managed as per the Risk Framework procedures
- Where applicable, all key controls to have identified owners, with audit trail of regular review and maintenance together with supporting records.
- Where applicable, all risk events (incidents) or control failures to be escalated, investigated, reported and fixed at root cause to prevent reoccurrence

ESSENTIAL/BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Second Level Scrum Master certification (PSM II, CSP)
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team.
- Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc
- Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team
- Previous experience as a team lead
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
- Ability to understand and direct developers through verbal and written communication to ensure project requirements are met.
- Excellent communication skills with technology and business teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Resolve and sense of urgency
- Prior experience leading people
