Scrum Master - Financial Services - CBD

We have an immediate opportunity available for an experienced SCRUM Master to come on board and join this Global Leader in the Financial Services arena.

The organization have recently adopted the AGILE development approach and are in the process of fine tuning the on-going strategy across the wider business. You will be an experienced SCRUM Master who is keen to further establish AGILE processes within the team, ideally you will have a good technical understanding of software development as the team is made up of Java Software Engineers, Testers and Business Analysts.

This role is initially a contract term with a strong chance of extension so you are encouraged to apply today for immediate consideration as interviews are currently underway for this opportunity.

ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Organise and facilitate all scrum ceremonies 
- Facilitate discussions and decision making
- Guide the team through continual improvement through acceptance and commitment to Agile principles
- Respond to and be supportive of differing team needs in order to maintain and improve on delivery
- Educate and demonstrate to the organization the benefits of the Agile framework
- Coach the team to greater levels of Agile maturity
- Understanding of business and technical environment to ensure impediments are resolved quickly and effectively
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure resolutions are quick and effective
- Provide advice and input into Technical solutions
- Empower the team and lead them through agreed commitments
- Ensure the team are committed to quality outcomes that adhere to internal guiding principles

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- 3 years plus in an agile environment and at least 2 years as a Scrum Master.
- Tertiary qualification with a major in Information Technology
- Certified Scrum Master certification is a plus.
- Desire to continuously improve the agile framework and participation in such activities.
- Knowledge and experience with the following Agile techniques: user stories, TDD, Continuous Integration and BDD.
- Experience in design and implementation of business applications requiring detailed knowledge of business logic.
- Knowledge of the finance and investment industries is a plus.
- Experience in systems analysis and sizing activities.
- Good problem solving and analytical skills.
