SCRUM MASTER - BRUSSELS/BELGIUM - ENGLISH/DUTCH/FRENCH SPEAKING - £550 PER DAY

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Tier 1 IT management company in Belgium who work with a number of multinational companies.

Job Description

The mission of the scrum master is to help team members
to communicate, coordinate and collaborate
to achieve the objectives by ensuring an environment free of obstacles
to promote continuous improvement
to self-organize and self-coach
The scrum master reinforces the Scrum/Agile practices in the team.

Responsibilities

SUPPORT OF THE TEAM AND THE PRODUCT OWNER 

- coaching of the team in self-organization and follow-up of Scrum/Agile practices
- continuous assessment of the maturity of the team to evolve to a higher maturity level, whilst keeping the pace at a feasible and comfortable level for the team
- pro-active removal of impediments, or assist the team in doing so by involving the right contacts, in order to allow the team to keep the focus on the objectives
- leading the team towards continuous improvement
- simplification of discussions, decisions and conflict solutions by creating a climate of confidence where everyone can express themselves without fear
- communicates with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and information. It also protects the tribe/squads from unexpected labour injections.
- supporting the Product Owner by creating healthy dynamics in the team, with special attention for respect of priorities and work environment
- introduction and conservation of the Agile methodology: organisation of scrum ceremonies, demos,

RESPONSIBILITIES AS TEAM MEMBER
to encourage the agile mind-set and the T-shaping of the team members, the Scrum Master will also take other responsibilities in the team whenever necessary to reach the goals

The ideal candidate

HARD SKILLS
Sound knowledge of the Agile methodology
Knowledge of Agile reporting methods
Good team skills
Knowledge of English and active knowledge of at least one local language + passive knowledge of the other language

Beyond the roles: Agile teams are cross-functional. All required disciplines are represented in the team (analysis, development, testing, ). However, although team members have a primary role representing a discipline, they are expected to take on other roles and contribute to other disciplines whenever it helps towards reaching the sprint goal.
