JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client who is a major telecoms company based in Belgium require the services of an experienced, assertive and enthusiastic Scrum Master. With your vital experience you will support the team in order to meet delay deliveries on time, in quality and in budget.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2-3 projects as Scrum Master (on complex & big projects)
- IT experience required
- Telecom and/or billing background
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) and in French or Dutch.
BRIEF OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will need to ensure that the team gets organized to work in a Scrum Agile way via Sprints (approach, tools, follow-up)
- You need to look both into the global picture and into the sprints at hand
- You are the facilitator who encourages and demands self-organization from the development team
- To remove escalated obstacles or resolve dependencies between team members and teams
- Remind the team of mission/value statements for each project
- Give updates and information regarding enterprise releases an pertinent information
- You enable close cooperation across all roles and functions, addresses resource issue and disobedience of scrum practices
- You protects the team from external and internal distractions and remove impediments so the team can focus on the work at hand and follow scrum practices.

- Must be able to garner respect from his/her team and be willing to get their hands dirty to get the job done
- Communicative and social - Must be able to communicate well with teams
- Facilitative - Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team
- Assertive - Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls
- Enthusiastic - Must be high-energy
- Continual improvement - Must continually be growing ones craft learning new tools and techniques to manage oneself and a team
- Conflict resolution - Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches
- Attitude of empowerment - Must be able to lead a team to self-organization
- Attitude of transparency - Must desire to bring disclosure and transparency to the business about development and grow business trust
