I am working with a multinational client in Cork who is looking for an experienced Scrum Master.
The Scrum Master is a key team member on a Scrum Team that consists of 5-7 people who work collaboratively to deliver a potentially shippable portion of the Product Backlog. The Scrum Master will report into a Chief Scrum Master on the program who sets program level expectations, standards and best practices and works with each Scrum Master to help resolve program level impediments.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must fully understand how to use and ensure data is accurately maintained in the clients IT Project Management Tools (HP PPM, HP Quality Center, MS Project) and be fully proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, XL). Experience with Product Backlog and Scrum management tools such as VersionOne or Rally are a plus.
- Develops and maintains project and resource plans, maintains quality focus, manages and ensures compliance of the Scrum framework.
- Organizes and facilitates sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, conducts retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings. Focuses the team and protects them from external interruption. Looks for ways to enhance productivity.
- Tracks and communicates team velocity and sprint/release progress. Facilitates the Scrum process and ensures that the team members are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and transparency.
- Participates proactively with the Chief Scrum Master in developing and maintaining team standards, tools and best practices. Identifies and removes impediments, prevents distractions. Facilitates discussion and conflict resolution. Empowers the team to self-organize.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Agile/Scrum methodology. Must be a Certified Scrum Master with 5+ years project management experience and 3+ years of Scrum Master experience.
- The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and can play a key role as Scrum Master on enterprise size program.
