For our client in Brussels we are looking for a Scrum master
You will:
-Ensure Agile/Scrum values and practices are understood and followed by the team
-Ensure that the team is fully motivated, functional and productive
-Enable close cooperation across all roles and functions and remove impediments
-Shield the team from external interferences
-Remove obstacles to progress for the team
-Support the team in developing a culture of continuous improvement in their way of working and also in their engineering practices and tools
-Help promote Agile principles and values and Lean Thinking, as well as helping people understand how they will benefit from Scrum
-Bring to the team practical experience on practices used successfully in other companies
Qualifications:
-Minimum 1+ years experience using Agile methods, 3+ years experience is preferred.
-Minimum 1 year experience as a ScrumMaster for a software development team.
-Thorough knowledge of Agile Scrum principles (roles, ceremonies, artifacts), and the ability to coach teams in adopting these principles.
-Displays servant-style leadership; behaves in ways that empower teams to reach their own conclusions by achieving the subtle balance between command and influence; team player.
-Accessible, easy going personality and personable.
-Emotionally stable and works wein stressful situations.
-Outstanding communication and decision making skills: propagates information promptly, clearly and unambiguously; knows when to make the call on a decision; identifies trade-offs between short and long term and promptly reaches a shared vision between team and Product Owner.
-Capacity to make the team work together: develop and foster teamwork, able to diagnose, understand and facilitate team dynamics; gauges team productivity and drives actions to improve if needed.
-Capacity to inspire and motivate: energizes people, highlights and rewards exemplary behavior or accomplishments; great working attitude.
-Capacity to resolve conflict: facilitates constructive debate, knows when to involve others, demonstrates emotional maturity in all interactions (discretion, objectivity, integrity, confidentiality); supports decisions even when not personally agreeing.
-Adept at speculating, exploring and adapting.
-Fosters continuous learning and early feedback loops.
-Ideally comes with a degree of corporate political skill (eg, knowing how decisions are made in the organization).
