SCOM Technical Specialist

OUR CLIENT, A LEADING IT COMPANY, IS LOOKING FOR SCOM TECHNICAL SPECIALIST TO WORK ON A 3 MONTH CONTRACT IN STEVENAGE.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE TO BE SC CLEARED OR WILLING TO GO THROUGH SC CLEARANCE.

The individual will be responsible for:

- Review the design and the building infrastructure from the ground-up, which will involve installation/configuration of SCOM - this reflects the fact that the role is project-based rather than a day-to-day support role.

Top requirements are:

- SCOM 2012 ideally, otherwise SCOM 2007: involving discovery exercises, detailed design, build documentation, implementation & configuration
- Extensive experience of implementing & building the infrastructure involved in an SCOM installation, using Windows platforms (though experience of using Unix platforms too would be a bonus)
- Strong customer facing experience: this resource will be based on customer site and client technical staff, as well as some Atos staff (eg the Transitioning Manager, Technical Architect, etc.)
- Strong documentation skills, for SCOM
