SCOM Engineer - REQUIRED ASAP UNTIL END OF JUNE 18
*Candidate must have at least a NATO SECRET clearances or equivalent
*The System Center Operation Manager (SCOM) Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining the enterprise SCOM platform.
*Perform administrative tasks from the Operation Manager console, provide application support for the SCOM platform and create and maintain monitoring and notification rules. Extensive hands-on experience implementing, tailoring, and tuning SCOM in medium to large programs is essential
*Perform administrative tasks from the Operation Manager console, provide application support for the SCOM platform and create and maintain monitoring and notification rules.
*Review and update SCOM console security, apply patches, create SCOM console roles and reviews, and create and install custom Management Packs (MP) as needed.
*Utilize verbal and written communication skills to maintain accurate system documentation and provide training as required
*Manage customer satisfaction through effectively communicating and managing customer expectations
*Work with Internal project managers and peers to understand and solve challenging technical problems, produce effort estimates, and improve system functionality, reliability and reduce costs.
*Work closely with Customer technology peers and management emphasizing collaboration and joint effort to ensure that the needs and expectations of organizational stake holders, business partners, external customers, and third party organizations are met and/or exceeded.
*Transfer knowledge via documentation and training to Business Technology resources
Other desired skills include:
*Hands-on experience as a design lead with full life cycle experience implementing ITSM solutions
*Experience in working with technical and non-technical stakeholders for requirements and configuration definition
*Strong experience with supporting ICT life cycle and operational methodologies such as ITIL
*Implementation experience with on-prem and cloud environments including support for operations
*Experience with data and system interfacing/integration to support information
Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
