SCIENTIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Ridgefield, CT.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- qPCR
- in vitro assays, Cell Culture
- Protein Analysis

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Primary responsibilities include performing in vitro molecular and cellular immunology experiments aimed at understanding inflammatory cytokine signal transduction in immune and epithelial cell types
- Responsible for general laboratory skills such as making solutions, dilutions
- Maintain tissue culture cell lines and cell transfection
- Perform isolation of RNA and preparation of cell extracts
- Responsible for Immunoprecipitations, Western blots
- Responsible for quantization of proteins using ELISA assays
- Analyze gene expression using qPCR
- Develop molecular assays and subsequent compound profiling
- Occasional use of radioisotopes

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BA or BS degree in the biological sciences with prior laboratory experience
- Two to three (2-3) years of experience in Pharmaceutical or CRO
- Familiar with protein analysis, RNA

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Familiar with in vitro assays, cell culture
- Familiar with Western Blot
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- Good record keeping and maintenance of laboratory notebook
