SCIENTIST II is needed for a long term contract opportunity with our client located in Cambridge, MA

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Flow Cytometry
- Immunology

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Support and implement flow cytometry-based assays for our various Immuno-Oncology projects
- Utilize flow cytometry to differentiate immunological cell subsets such as effector and regulatory T, B, and/or monocyte (remove subset); and having a deep understanding of the markers used in flow cytometry to identify these populations in samples from human or animal origin
- Identify these populations in samples from human or animal origin
- Experience in analysis and characterization of cells from whole blood or solid tissues using multicolor flow cytometer is essential
- A deep understanding of the workings and basic repair/troubleshooting of multiple flow cytometer and cell sorter platforms is required. A strong knowledge of flow cytometric analysis and proficiency in the use of BD analysis software (ie FACS Diva®) and FlowJo® is also required.
- Hands-on lab experience with human cell based assays and experience in setting up immune cell functional assays such as T cell proliferation/killing assays is desirable

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS degree in biology, chemistry, or pharmaceutical science discipline plus 5-6 years experience and a high level of independence and ability to develop hypotheses and experimental plans for immunology flow cytometric based research
