Scientist II Job

Yoh has several long term contract opportunities for a SCIENTIST II to join our client, a world leader in the agricultural industry, located in Creve Coeur, MO.

JOB OVERVIEW:

- Our client is looking for independent scientists that have experience working in a fast pace, timeline driven environment.
- The candidate should have an expertise in protein-related Mass Spectrometry and general protein characterization techniques such as amino acid analysis and N-terminal sequencing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervises and/or work alongside associate scientists in daily operations as well as conducting research for purposes in diverse biological areas and against a variety of targets.
- Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Works under general supervision.
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Analytical Chemistry (at least one year of experience)
- Bio Assays (at least a year of experience)
- Biochemistry (at least two years of experience)
- Electrophoresis (at least a year of experience)
- HPLC (at least two years of experience)
- HPLC Development (at least a year of experience)
- Mass Spectrometry (at least two years of experience)
- Protein Assays, Purification, Sequencing (at least two years of experience)
- SDS Page and Spectrophotometer (at least two years of experience)
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- GLP or GMP experience is a plus.
