SCIENTIST I needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in CAMBRIDGE, MA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Molecular Biology
- PCR
- DNA sequencing

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Independently carry out experiments with good quality, including sample preparation, PCR, RT-PCR, RNA handling, etc. with presentation of experimental results and report. Pay attention to details, and be capable of troubleshooting complex assays.
- Provide steady support in documentation of protocol writing, project organizing efforts, good understanding and past experience in IVD environment and documentation are preferred.
- Contribute intellectually in a team setting and communicate closely with manager/team to seek consensus in plan execution.
- Participate in general lab maintenance efforts and comply with regulated environment
- Comply with rules guidelines and trainings, including laboratory record keeping.
- Be willing to learn new techniques, continue to gain scientific knowledge, and be able to apply gained knowledge to practice. Participate in project meetings, present data, and provide technical inputs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Must have Ph.D. degree in life sciences discipline (such as Molecular or Cell Biology, Genetics or Biochemistry) or MS degree with experience in medical laboratory or diagnostics industry.
- Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid sample preparation, PCR, DNA sequencing (including next-generation), Real Time PCR and mutation detection.
- Good organization, communication and time management skills.
- Candidate should be a good team player in multidisciplinary environment, a self initiator, capable of multi-tasking, able to be fully committed to development timelines, and highly flexible in a dynamic changing environment including format and contents.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Prior experience in tissue-culture is a plus.
- Familiarity with GLP and GMP environment, documentation and quality system is highly desirable.
- General knowledge with basic statistics analysis tools and understanding DOE and six sigma are considered plus.
