SCIENTIST I needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in CAMBRIDGE, MA.

- Molecular Biology

- GLP environment

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Work with a development team to contribute to molecular diagnostic research and development projects
- Work in assay development team to develop molecular diagnostic tests under moderate guidance.
- Independently execute experiments with good quality, including sample preparation, PCR, Real Time PCR, sequencing, etc.
- Collect, analyze and summarize data for report.
- Pay attention to technical details, and is capable of effective troubleshooting when needed.
- Monitor and order lab supplies.
- Participate in general lab maintenance efforts.
- Comply with guidelines and training requirements, including laboratory record keeping.
- Participate in project meetings, present data, and provide technical inputs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS/MS degree in Life Sciences (such as Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics and Biochemistry)
- One to five (1-5) years of laboratory experience, with minimum one (1) year in industry hands-on experience on molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid sample preparation, PCR, Real Time PCR, digital PCR, and sequencing.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Familiarity with commonly used Real Time PCR platforms is desirable.
- Familiarity with GLP environment, documentation and quality system is desirable.
