Scientist Biocomputational wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- PhD/PostDoc in Biology or a related field
- 2+ years' working experience in epigenetics research and in academic or drug-discovery settings
- Proficiency of statistical and mathematical methods used for analysis of genomics data
- Confidence working in a UNIX environment as well as strong background with NGS data analysis, programming skills in R and other programming languages
- Well understanding of the statistical and mathematical methods used for analysis of genomics data along with expertise in epigenetics
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- Supporting analysis, integration and biological interpretation of NGS-based data, such as RNAseq, ChIPseq, ATACseq and Bisulfite-seq
- Influencing the design of experiments and collaborating with project-based scientists to interactively support analysis of NGS data
- Applying cutting-edge pipelines and analysing tools, delivering analysis results as well as providing customized solutions for visualization and data exploration
- Being involved in a wide range of projects within the company's Preclinical Safety (PCS) department
- Ensuring the quality of the company's Research and Development portfolio
