Our global client is looking for a Scientific Advisor to join their team on a 4 months contract (to be reviewed at the end of contract). The role is working working 3/ 4 days/week You will need to have extensive experience of Virology and also Hepatitis or HIV. Copy approval of the Zinc system is also essential to be considered for this role. Due to the nature of the role, candidates who are available at short notice or immediately will only be considered.

Role Purpose
To provide a medical/ scientific information service to UK customers and other divisions in order to support the Company's products and services.

F0A7;Research, prepare and provide up-to-date product information for responding to external enquiries for an agreed group of products, ensuring that target response times are met.
F0A7;Contribute to the design, medical and scientific accuracy and approval of promotional material to support the Company's products
F0A7;Update external product listings (e.g. MIMS, eMC) to ensure that the information available to customers about products is accurate and current.
F0A7;Develop and maintain product information systems and standards in order to provide accurate product support.
F0A7;Contribute to the updating of the product and therapy area knowledge of the medico-marketing team.

F0A7;Maintain a high and up-to-date level of product and therapy area knowledge e.g. by attending conferences; by reading relevant medical Demonstrate a high level of product knowledge by accepting responsibility for the scientific accuracy of promotional materials and by contributing to the preparation of expert documents such as formulary applications.
F0A7;Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the relevant information sources including: printed pulications, unpublished sources, databases (e.g. BILIT, RDMnet, OVID), web sites, other BI departments, external bodies.
F0A7;Demonstrate understanding of the principles of information storage and retrieval, and skill in their application.
F0A7;Ability to search a range of relevant information sources
F0A7;Demonstrate familiarity with the relevant SOPs as detailed in the SOP training matrix.
F0A7;Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with relevant legal and related issues, such as the Medicines Act and Statutory Instruments; copyright; Data Protection legislation; liability; the ABPI Code of Practice
F0A7;Knowledge and understanding of the business, the pharmaceutical industry and the external environment: the NHS, Government policy, regulatory requirements
F0A7;Awareness of competitor products and activity

Role Specific Knowledge, Skills and Experience at Entry
F0A7;Good numeracy and literacy skills
F0A7;Computer literate
F0A7;Qualified to degree level, preferably in pharmacy or biological sciences
F0A7;Minimum of 12 months experience of medical information in the pharmaceutical industry or hospital pharmacy (including medicines information)
F0A7;Good telephone manner
F0A7;Good standard of written English
F0A7;Attention to detail
