This is an excellent opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Science graduate to join and contribute to the highly successful Science department at this "Outstanding" school. A diverse range of courses are offered at GCSE, it is essential that the successful candidate can contribute to the popular A-level Chemistry provision.

The School and Sixth Form College is a highly successful mixed comprehensive school of approximately 1250 students, 300 of whom attend the Sixth Form College. The school is successful because the standards, facilities and academic curriculum are excellent: The school is recognised as a 1st class school in the locality. Their most recent OfSTED inspection assessed the school to be "Outstanding". The assessors commented that, "Much of the school's success is due to a focus on improving teaching and monitoring students' progress regularly".

All Science lessons are taught in a dedicated suite of 7 laboratories, serviced from 2 preparation rooms. Each laboratory is equipped with a computer and projector for the teacher's use. The Classrooms are also well equipped with mobile laptops which are available for students' use.

The successful candidates will work across all key stages from KS3 through to KS5. You will be responsible to set high standards and simulating the desire to learn in students and adults. You will hold well developed interpersonal and communication skills. You will also have knowledge of the science curriculum and its relationship as a whole.
