JOB DESCRIPTION

Reeson Education is seeking a talented and enthusiastic CHEMISTRY AND/OR BIOLOGY TEACHER for an EXCELLENT OVERSUBSCRIBED SCHOOL IN NORTH WEST LONDON. Both are PERMANENT SCIENCE teaching positions STARTING SEPTEMBER 2015. The Science teachers will be required to uphold the schools' high standards, teaching boys and girls at from KEY STAGES 3-5.

EXAM RESULTS

- 64% of students achieved 5+ A* - C including English and Maths. Best ever results for the school.
- 75% achieved C or better in Maths and 4 students achieved A* Distinction in further Maths.
- 72% achieved C or better in English and 80% in English Literature.
- 33% of the grades are A*/A or BTEC Distinction
- 78% of the grades are A* - C: 98% A* - E/Pass
- 10% out of our 74 A level students achieved at least 3 A*/A grades.

This mixed 11-18 comprehensive school has been rated "good" in all areas of the Ofsted report;

- This is a "_GOOD" SCHOOL WITH A "GOOD SIXTH FORM"_. Students are happy, enjoy lessons and participate enthusiastically in the many activities on offer.
- A-level and GCSE results have gone up significantly since the previous inspection and, in many subjects, they are above average.
- Students' behaviour is good, despite a small minority of parents, carers and students being less positive about it in their questionnaire responses.
- A major push to improve behaviour, started 18 months ago, and has made the school calmer and most lessons proceed without interruption.

PERSONAL DESCRIPTION

The school is looking for an excellent practitioner with a SPECIALISM in SCIENCE (CHEMISTRY AND/OR BIOLOGY) with the ABILITY TO TEACH CHILDREN AT KEY STAGES 3 - 4. All applicants should have UK QTS or an OVERSEAS FORMAL SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHING QUALIFICATION.
