School Caretaker Tameside area

Capita Education are recruiting for a School Caretaker, to work on a long term basis at a Primary School in the Tameside LEA, General responsibilities include the upkeep of the school including maintenance around the school buildings and ensuring the outside areas are kept clean and are well maintained. We are looking for caretakers that have experience of working in a School environment.

School site managers are responsible for day-to-day management of all premises and they conduct safety inspections.
School caretakers work alongside other maintenance staff who are involved in the repair servicing and construction of a variety of fixtures and equipment within school buildings.
The successful applicant will have good DIY skills,.

Responsibilities include:
- General school maintenance and school security
- General cleaning and up keep of the school
- Address any health and safety issues
- Attend to emergency call outs
- Be a key holder
- Communicate with other members of staff in regard to any issues
