SCHEDULING COORDINATOR/LEAD LINCOLNSHIRE, IL 6 to 7 Month Contract

The candidate in this role will assist the client with leading a team of implementation schedulers to meet the daily requirements associated with converting 25,000+ enterprise end users to the Windows 7. The Scheduling Coordinator will be part of the pre-conversion team responsible for ensuring that the end user meets the readiness requirements for converting to Windows 7, creating the conversion schedule and coordinating the conversion activities with the end users and technical support teams.

Must have strong experience in solution design and documentation process. Must have experience with a large migration or deployment where end users were being scheduled. Windows 7 migration experience strongly preferred.

LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES

- Create a detailed user-level schedule based upon location deployment order, user grouping within locations (eg floor or building), user application requirements and application readiness, and other user and business variables.
- Work closely with Support Lead to facilitate user reschedules.
- Supervise a team of schedulers who will schedule the migration in a deployment management tool.
- Send emails to migration automation (SCCM) team with CSV file of the upcoming users/PCs scheduled for migration. Handle exceptions and work with the customer team to find solutions.
- Monitor work of scheduling team and interface with end users and/or technical support teams on matters as needed.
- Conduct routine status meetings to review project deliverables and deadlines.
- Oversee the daily risks, issues/problems, and activity progress of the scheduling team to ensure goals are achieved. Assist with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed.
- Ensure proper workflow and escalation processes are defined and met and identify best practices and/or coordination process gaps or areas for improvement, recommend and implement solutions.
- Guide team on modifications to business practices, processes and/or procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

- Supervisory experience
- Comprehensive experience with large rollouts/implementations
- Windows 7 deployment experience a big plus
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience working with work flow software tools, such as Remedy or similar
- Analytical mind set
- Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance and build high morale among team
- Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to audiences of various levels in the organization
- Proven ability to prioritize and evaluate competing criteria based on an established set of rules.
- Good understanding of technological and business issues that affect users
- Creative, process driven, thinking
