Scheduler

A Fortune 500 energy company is currently seeking a Nuclear Scheduler to initiate and develop outage implementation plans, including analysis and evaluation of plans to ensure the conduct of safe and efficient outages at Brunswick Nuclear Plant in Southport, NC. This project is scheduled to last 1 year, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates are highly preferred, but per diem and mobilization / demobilization may be available for qualified candidates. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Monitor, coordinate, schedule and establish priorities during the development and execution of outages to support / ensure timely return of the unit to service as defined by the outage plan
- Be a member of the outage & scheduling unit and will work closely with supervision, team members, and Nuclear personnel to fully resource levelize and integrate outage work schedules
- Develop, maintain and distribute effective computerized schedules for refueling, mid-cycle and forced outages
- Analyze these schedules to minimize duration and risk, while optimizing resources and critical equipment availability
- Provide Project Coordination / Planning for the development or implementation of outage specific evolutions (e.g. Refueling, Turbine, Steam Generator, Electrical Busses, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS

- Experience evaluating corrective and preventive maintenance activities and design change modifications to assist in outage scope control and schedule development
- Experience creating specialized reports using various database applications (ProjectView, PassPort Query Builder, Excel, Business Objects, etc.)
- Exhibit effective project management skills and demonstrate the capability to perform Critical Path Method (CPM) Analysis
