SCCM Administrator

Reporting to the Team Leader, work for a highly-sought Government organisation as a SCCM Administrator on a long term contract with lengthy extension options.

DUTIES:

- Manage the SCCM infrastructure
- Evaluate, test, implement and support SCCM infrastructure.
- Provide advice on the infrastructure and overall configuration of SCCM environment.
- Provide advice on security related to SCCM environment.
- Develop, maintain and undertake effective processes for deployment of software updates to the organisation's system

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- A superior knowledge and demonstrated technical proficiency in Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007 with 3+ years' experience in managing medium to large production environments.
- This should include proven experience for deployments with multiple physical locations of SCCM sites, spanning multiple timezones, over various network connections such as satellite and high latency connections.
- The candidate should have knowledge of SCCM 2012 as well as SCCM 2007.
- The candidate should be able to troubleshoot all aspects of SCCM effectively and understand the product flow for patch management, software distribution and logging in detail.
- (Highly Desirable) In addition, experience in other Microsoft Management technologies, including Active Directory services (AD), Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) and/or System Center Operations Manager, System Center Essentials and WSUS is desired. Secondary expertise in at least one of the following: Windows desktop Operating Systems, Windows server Operating Systems, SQL- both management and querying, IIS. Knowledge of the following would be advantageous: MDT (BDD), Powershell, repackaging applications and virtualization of OS and applications.
