Scala/Java Developer

Coba IT is once again working in partnership with our Zurich based Investment Banking client to find a highly experienced, successful Scala/Java Developer to join a new and growing Development Team to work with the latest Scala technologies on their market leading platform and support ongoing projects in particular areas of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

* Help building state of the art web based solutions for our partners
* Work closely with professionals to understand the business and gather requirements
* Developing innovative IT solutions on top of existing and brand new components
* Working with latest Scala technologies to broaden your skills
* Opportunities to take a leading role within key projects

Key Requirements

* Higher education degree in Computer Science
* Technical proficiency in Java or Scala, SQL, Oracle, Web Technologies
* Any other OO or functional programming experience would be considered an advantage
* Understanding of asynchronous messaging architectures
* Solid experience in relational Datamodelling, logical database design, complex SQL query analysis and design
* Strong problem solving skills and ability to find creative solutions
* Comfortable working in a small, international and agile team environment
* Willing to learn the complex business domain
* Ability to work independently and a pro-active and communicative personality
* Good communication skills in English and preferably German
